EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT
The Employment Promotion Department implements projects aimed at promoting the employment of young people and, through preventive activities, tries to prevent them from falling into the NEET situation (an internationally used abbreviation for young people who are not in employment and are not in education or training).
Through the SPACE - Single Points of Contact (SPOC) for Youth project in BBSK we offer young people under 30 comprehensive development, support and counselling services for their smooth transition from school to employment or return to the labour market. We are especially dedicated to young unemployed people in NEET situation and young people at risk of NEET situation (e.g. primary and secondary school students, including students with SEN, people with disabilities, low education, members of marginalised communities or minorities, etc.).
The ALMA pilot project offers young disadvantaged people the opportunity to take part in a unique work mobility abroad, which is an effective tool for their reintegration into the labour market.
Our successful practice of SPACE JKM and piloting the ALMA project in Slovakia as an internationally recognised tool in the employment of young disadvantaged people led us to implement the project of Regional Analyses and Partnerships for Youth in the BBSK territory. This project allowed us to create a unique partnership of relevant actors in the region in the field of youth employment support. The intensive cooperation of actors within the regional partnership under the auspices of the BBSK resulted in the adoption of the Regional Action Plan. The plan contains 5 concrete and feasible measures that will contribute to increasing youth employment in the region. As part of the project, we have also developed a regional analysis on the situation of NEET young people in our region.
Identification and inclusion of NEETs in active life
Effective and quality support for all-round personal development
Establishing functional partnerships within collaborating organisations to effectively address the complex situations of persons from the target group
Implementation of job mobility in Italy and the Czech Republic for young disadvantaged people
Establishment of a functional regional partnership and adoption of an action plan in BBSK under the auspices of the region
Reduction of unemployment in the region
At JKM SPACE we offer a comprehensive range of development, support, information and consultancy services in one place. Our services are a source of inspiration and discovery of your potential, where everyone is respected, accepted and listened to.

Regional Action Plan for the Implementation of the Youth Guarantee in the Banská Bystrica Self-Governing Region
As a strategic document, the Regional Action Plan complements other activities carried out with the aim of increasing regional youth employment. The Regional Action Plan was developed through a participatory process involving extensive consultations with experts and includes five specific measures that will be implemented between July 2025 and June 2027.
Project ALMA
ALMA offers young people in the NEET category the opportunity to travel abroad for a work internship lasting several months. The goal is for them to use the experience they gain during the internship to enter the domestic job market or return to education upon their return.
